First sustainability report published

ECOwind has published its first sustainability report entitled “Living sustainability”. This report marks an important milestone in our commitment to a sustainable future. It provides an overview of our efforts and progress in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance.

Johann Janker, Managing Director of ECOwind, describes the report as follows: “It is not a recipe book or a traditional sustainability report, but an invitation to reflect, share and collaborate.”

This publication presents inspiring examples of sustainability in practice from various areas, taking into account the three key areas of environmental, social and corporate governance, i.e. the so-called ESG criteria. From energy self-sufficiency at the company site in Kilb to special wind and solar projects and social activities in and around the company.

To celebrate this milestone, the team organised a Sustainability Day, which began with the presentation of the report. Elena Garnich, Head of Corporate Sustainability, BayWa r.e., and Iris Kattinger, ESG Manager, then organised workshops on various sustainability topics.
